Windows 11. What About It?

 


Microsoft has announced to release the latest operating system call Windows 11. The new version of Windows 11 has all the power and security that Windows 10 have with new features and improvements.

New fresh simplified design interface.




Multitask gets even better with the new Snap Layouts, Snap Groups and Desktops to boost productivity.




Microsoft Store improvement with Android Apps will be available too.





Faster way to connect by using Chat from Microsoft Teams to instantly connect through text, chat, voice, or video.




What You Need to Know Before Upgrading or Installing Windows 11

The new Windows 11 is expected to be roll out late in 2021 and continue into 2022 for free to existing Windows 10 PC running with latest version of it. However, even though the upgrade is free, not all PC is eligible for the upgrade because there is certain minimum of requirement to be meet before installing Windows 11. 



Most newer PC running with latest 64-bit processor, UEFI with Secure Boot and TPM v2 enable. You may confirming this on your BIOS configuration.

Just to be sure, you may download and run the Microsoft PC Health Check App to check your device eligibility to install Windows 11.







For PC that does not meet the requirement, you can still use Windows 10 and it will be supported by Microsoft until October 2025.

Microsoft has made some changes to Windows 11 feature deprecation and removal upon upgrading or installing Windows 11 such as:
  • 3D Viewer, OneNote for Windows 10, Paint 3D and Skype apps are available for download from Microsoft. The apps are no more installed with Windows 11.
  • Named groups and folders of apps are no longer supported and the layout is not currently resizable.
  • Pinned apps and sites will not migrate when upgrading from Windows 10.
  • Live Tiles are no longer available.
  • Cortana will no longer be included in the first boot experience or pinned to the Taskbar.
  • Internet Explorer is disable.
  • Quick Status from the Lockscreen and associated settings are removed.
  • Timeline is removed.
